By offering diploma and certificate programs in animal husbandry and para-veterinary medicine, the Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled a new plan to improve veterinary services. With only 8,193 veterinarians available in the state compared to the approximately 34,500 nationwide, this decision was made during a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

In order to introduce the Deepam 2.0 program, which aims to empower women by giving them free gas cylinders, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu traveled to Edupuram in the Srikakulam district. As a sign of support for the project, Naidu personally gave a gas cylinder to Santhamma, a recipient, during his visit. He also lighted her stove and made tea.

A nationwide door-to-door survey was formally started by Telanganas Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) office in Hyderabad. The State Planning Department is conducting the survey with the goal of compiling detailed information on the caste, social, economic, political, and educational standing of every household in Telangana.

The World Crafts Council (WCC) has designated Srinagar as a World Craft City, bringing international recognition to the citys rich creative heritage. Craftsmanship in the area dates back 4,000 years, and it is especially evident in paper mache art, carpets, and shawls. Kashmirs craft traditions gained complexity and diversity in the 14th century with the introduction of Persian and Central Asian artisans.
