Grandmaster Koneru Humpy won the FIDE Womens World Rapid Chess Championship in New York on Sunday, capping an incredible year for Indian chess. After winning the title in Georgia in 2019, this was her second global rapid title. With a single victory in the eleventh and final round, Humpy finished first with 8.5 points.
