A health emergency has been proclaimed in Peru in reaction to the increasing number of dengue fever cases that are occurring there. In the first eight weeks of 2024, more than 31,000 cases of dengue were reported, including 32 fatalities, according to a Monday announcement by Health Minister Cesar Vasquez.
