The Union Jal Shakti Ministry published its Dynamic Groundwater Resources Assessment Report 2024, which revealed that between 2011 and 2024, groundwater extraction had dropped by 3 billion cubic meters while groundwater recharge had increased by 15 billion cubic meters.
